About us

Founder and Managing Director
Shallion Support was founded with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals managing chronic illnesses such as M.E., Long Covid, fibromyalgia, and PTSD. Our mission is to provide practical, compassionate support to help people who are physically unable to manage their daily tasks.
The inspiration for Shallion Support comes from a personal journey. At 19, I developed M.E. after a bad reaction to injections for a trip to Malaysia, leaving me with debilitating fatigue for 8 years. After 25 years free of the condition, a family trauma triggered another autoimmune disorder—cutaneous lupus—which brought a severe rash, swelling, fatigue, and brain fog. During that difficult time, the support I received from family and friends was vital in helping me cope.
Through both lived experience and growing connection with others facing similar challenges, it became clear that the need for support reaches beyond these conditions alone. Many individuals living with autoimmune and functional conditions face the same daily barriers, exhaustion, and isolation, often without the practical help they need.
Shallion Support exists to ensure no one has to go through such experiences alone. In response to this growing need, our service has been extended to support those living with chronic, autoimmune, and functional conditions. We offer bespoke, non-medical support to help individuals manage their daily life. Whether it’s assisting with daily tasks, helping families with children’s homework, preparing meals, organising a grocery shop, or simply being there, we are committed to making a difference where it matters most.
